Hidden Treasure (Taizé)

In cooperation with the local churches of the city, the international and interdenominational Taizé Community (France) led a young-adult gathering in Birmingham, England, over the May Bank Holiday weekend, 28 April - 1 May, 2017. It attracted hundreds of young people from all over Europe and beyond. Participants were welcomed into local homes and parishes and took part in a full and varied programme including times of shared prayer, workshops and encounters with local faith communities. Speakers included Brother Alois, the Prior of the Taizé Community and Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury.
